Available in 20” (508 mm) & 30” (762 mm), the Phoenix is a revolutionary new coating/priming system that is the most modular system available. The system can utilize one, or multiple coating and curing stations and utilizes our unique IOTech4 platform for seamless, simple jobs.

Spot Coating

Spot Coating is one of most interactive ways to truly enhance print and packaging. This 3D finishing touch can add a level of luxury and visually highlight specific features, adding a level of prestige compared to regular print and flood coating.

Flood Coating

Protect and enhance the entire surface!

Flood coating a surface does many things - it can serve to protect the printing from dirt, fingerprints and the handling during mailing, as seen in the video. It can also serve as a way to visually enhance the surface and printed design.

The Kompac EZ Koat series now offers a dual coating system: the standard system for conventional finishes like gloss and satin, and the new chambered anilox roller system for more difficult-to-run coatings like matte and soft touch. Changeover between systems takes minutes!

Suitable for both small and large jobs, the EZ Koat 30 Plus can coat rolls up to 30.5” wide (at incredible speeds!) For commercial printers and in-house printing situations, Kompac coating machines can also be placed inline with large format printers to create an automated workflow solution.

Die-Cutting

Optional equipment for the ONYX 30!

This semi-rotary die-cutting system provides print service centers and inplant printers the added ability to die-cut and perforate sheets quickly, and easily.

The magnetic die system is easy to attach, giving print service providers the flexibility to not only prime and coat printed materials – but also cut, perforate and crease sheets to produce everything from packaging, to business cards, folders, greeting cards, direct mail, and more!

High-Capacity Feeder & Stacker

Built for LARGER SHEETS and MORE PRODUCTION!

This high-capacity system allows users to run cut sheets up to 40" wide. The EZ 2040/3040 Feeder & Stacker are production-level equipment that allows greater thoroughput on the Kompac EZ Koat 20 and 30.

This coating system can now fit a 20”x40” (50.8cm x 101.6cm) sheet with no loss in speed. It also accepts pallets (32” lift) to avoid hand-loading of sheets, and make the pre and post press finishing a breeze!

Desktop Coating

In-house coating just got easier with Kompac’s smallest UV and Aqueous coating solution!

This compact desktop coater is the perfect inline/offline solution for smaller print jobs and still provides production-level quality. The optional rewinder allows users to use it for cut sheets or rolls up to 10” wide.

Prime substrates before inkjet and digital label printing - and/or coat them afterwards with a variety of finishes ranging from high gloss to matte!

Corona Treatment

For excellent ink and coating adhesion

The Kompac Corona System is now available for the EZ Koat 20 and 30 Plus UV/Aqueous Coating Systems.

This set up can be configured to fit existing systems in the field, or available for new units in several configurations including: inline, duplexing, web, or simply feeder/corona/stacker.
